Marxism 2010
A great battle is sweeping the world over who will pay for the crisis. We can feel the threat from the Tory cuts, the bankers’ blackmail of governments across Europe and the racism directed towards scapegoats for the system’s failure. But we can also see and be inspired by the resistance. Marxism 2010 brings together the diverse elements of this resistance to discuss why capitalism produces crisis and war, and also to learn from and develop the fightback.
The bosses and bankers and the politicians who serve them have our services, our jobs, our living standards and our communities in their sights. This is a time for socialists and campaignersof all types to come together in active unity and to build resistance. We also need to debate the ideas that will guide that fightback, and point
towards a socialist world. We hope that the meetings, debates and cultural events at Marxism 2010 can be a part of that process. You are welcome – not just to listen to others but as an active participant in the event.
