Banks A Lot: Free tickets for Michael Moore?

Bankers forced to cope with bonuses in their low millions have a new way to save money - free tickets to see Michael Moore's latest film Capitalism: A Love Story.

The first 50 bankers who arrive for the screening of the documentary at the Prince Charles cinema in London from March 12 and produce a wage slip as proof will be allowed in without having to pay.

A spokesperson for the cinema said: Hopefully Michael will teach these bankers something about the error of  their ways? Hopefully they will learn that our jobs and homes are not something to be gambled on?

"Hopefully they will realise that we the public bailed them all out, and that they owe us, not the other way around?"

Filmmaker Michael Moore said: "I am passionate about this movie. It is not only my most personal film, it is the most vital and necessary film I've made in my 20 years as a filmmaker. Period.

"I told my crew at the start of this movie, 'let's make this film so brutally honest that no-one with any money will ever want to write us a cheque to make another movie!' And so we set off to make the most dangerous documentary we could."

He added: "As gloomy as our situation in the world looks these days, I refuse to give up. If there's even the slightest chance that we can turn this around, then I want to help, I want to be part of the fight along with you. And I want you to see this movie."

Capitalism: A Love Story examines the impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans (and by default, the rest of the world).

The film moves from Middle America, to the halls of power in Washington, to the global financial epicenter in Manhattan.

With  both humor and outrage, the film explores the question: What is the price that America pays for its love of capitalism? Families pay the price with their jobs, their homes and their savings.
